Cooks love herbs- they're so easy!
Choose the plants that you use in your kitchen, in your crafts and for your health and beauty needs and plant them together! Because of the multiple shades of green in your herb garden, it's always nice to add a hint of color, we like to sweeten the visual effect by adding dainty small flowers such as Violas, which come in so many colors- or just chose your favorite annual flower to accent your herb garden.

Some herbs are used in companion planting with vegetables and flowers as it is believed that this is mutually beneficial. Many herbs are deterrents to pests and diseases. Garlic may contribute to more prolific flowering of other plants. Chives may prevent black spot on roses. Santolina is actually said to be insect-repelling.

Herbs often attract natural pollinators to the garden, such as bees, butterflies and hummingbirds, which contribute to the production of fruits, vegetables, flowers and seed in the garden. Because of this, it's a good idea to include herbs in your perennial garden. You'll create a thriving environment for your flowers, for your visual pleasure, and for your culinary masterpieces!
